WYXR × Qobuz
Qobuz, the hi-res streaming service, makes WYXR’s archives possible. Their support helps us preserve the shows, sessions and specials that make up Memphis’s community radio station, so you can come back to them any time. Qobuz also shares our love of digging deeper, so we’ve built a few playlists that pick up where the broadcast leaves off.
The Drop Mix
The soundtrack to WYXR mornings. The Drop Mix collects favorites from our morning show, The Drop. Catch it live every weekday from 6–8 a.m. CT on 91.7 FM Memphis or at WYXR.org.
The Wu’s Connections to Memphis
The nine-member rap crew Wu-Tang Clan, a headliner at Mempho Festival, has a history of relying on Memphis soul for inspiration. This playlist follows those threads, from the Memphis records to the Wu tracks they helped shape.
Best of WYXR’s Stereo Sessions
WYXR’s Stereo Sessions brings listeners together at the Memphis Listening Lab to hear overlooked and cult-favorite Memphis albums in full, alongside conversations with the artists and people who helped shape them. This playlist gathers highlights from across the series, moving through Memphis jazz, soul, funk, gospel, rock and rap. Some featured records aren’t on streaming services, but these selections offer another way into the music and stories Stereo Sessions has brought back into the room.
